bottom fishing east of block
 

got out with college buddies yesterday, chose to focus in bottom fishing due east of block. slow but steady pick of sea bass and cod which i wasn’t expecting. had huge schools of blues come through twice, when all 5 of us got knocked down and hooked up. everything we kept, was loaded with sand eels. narrow diamond jugs with umbrella-style tubes above, was the ticket. great day, we are so lucky to have this resource nearby.

No bait all jigs no dogs... don’t cha hate them... :-)

yeah, we had just found a nice pile of sea bass and cod and then got mobbed by dogs. we also used jigs no bait. are hugs usually a good way to avoid dogs? didn’t help us. we never used bait. captain was very frustrated.

was pretty nice out there yesterday. tell dangles i said hi, glad you did well.
