In this corner !!! System 3 SB-112 used for building sail and surf boards...A little more exspensive than clear coat...not much..also has UV - absorbers for more resistance to chalking and yellowing...The gloves are off,,Time will tell...
|
looks like it already yellowed.
-nyuck nyuck nyuck |
I've heard a theory that blurple works so well because it reflects u.v. rays and fish can detect them with their eyesite. If that is true, a clearcoat that absorbs u.v. would be counter productive. Just tossing an idea out to see what others will say. Thanks.
B.T.W. nice work on those pikies!:) |
Tagger,
Whats the setup time for these? The yellow lure looks like its made of plastic now. Nice. - - -SK |
Its dry in the morning...But I know its not fully cured ...both have a long pot life.. Temperature is a biggy ....This Stuff is nasty !!! Your not suppose to get it on your skin At All..Wierd it says you'll break out with a rash inside of your forearms and on your forehead above your eyebrows if you become sensitized.. Once its cured NP..I'll try to get more factts ..
|
If the label lists isocyanates, you should be using gloves and a really good cartridge respirator. That stuff is a killer. Take care Tagger we can't afford to have a plug master down.

good results measuring is key..I like these syringes, perfect measure and neat ...
|
the system's three stuff is very mix sensitive u have measure it to the ml. I copied that tech from Oz.with the syringes.Nice plugs by the way give. Now give me a Pikie.:D I'm interested to see the results from the test.is the sb-112 as thin as the clear coat. when mixed.
|
Nib the sb112 is a hair thicker,,both brush on nice...no bubbles like enviorotex..I have to label everything .. I can't tell them apart ..SB112 does have this uv light protection..On some of my paperwork it says "Resist UV Light" on other paper work it says it has "UV light absorbers"...I have to get to the bottom of that one and what it means if anything to fish.. SB112 requires no tie coats..

Tagger, I showed that needle you gave me to bassmaster today and he liked it :D but I had a hard time keeping him from taking something before he left. I didn't frisk him but I think I am safe. He was drooling over my NIB pikie and pawing everything I have.:smash:
|
Keep him behind the glass Slip..its the only way..saves from frisking or that embaressing question...Is that a plug in your pocket ?:laughs:
|
Have you tried West yet?
If so, how'd it work out? I got a ton of it for boat repairs/surfboard repairs/etc. Stuff is stronger than steel. They send out a newsletter that they buried an eyebolt into concrete then did pull tests... concrete will break before west does... go figure |
tagger...if you need a serious field tester...pm me.
|
Test is on hold...SB112 yellow and purple...was swallowed up by the ocean tonight, how I don't know...Had a break off...I swear something took off with it on a dead drift ...:(
