Do great things for people in need, anonymously, after winning one of these two huge lottery prizes....

Try to cut back on the amount of hours I put into both jobs. I need to focus on my own house and family.

Clammer 12-30-2020 10:30 PM

hq2 .good luck .remember to swap out your hooks for circles .<><

hq2 12-31-2020 10:24 AM

Do they have tubes with circles? Never actually had much trouble with fish taking a tube down, BTW.

I’m just trying for a happy medium
With the lack of rain this year all the trout were precooked, 80 degree water and not much of it

For my New Year resolution, I'm going to invest all my time and money into developing the perfect circle hook. I've already spoken to Owner hooks and they are very interested in my design. I will be shipping the first prototype to Mr. Nakamichi early 2021 for testing purposes. Once approved, it will go straight to marketing.
  • Although not needed, it is guaranteed to have the sharpest point on the market
  • As an added safety-measure, there are break-away sections built into both the shank and belly-bend of the hook
  • It has a proven 0.000003 % chance of Not permanently hurting any marine life
  • Constructed of a 2-part steel material guaranteed to begin oxidizing if left un-baited for a preset amount of time

Although I'll be forfeiting the rights once accepted by Owner, they are allowing me to "name" the hook, which was something I had requested. As I believe this IS the future of circle hooks, I wanted to leave a legacy that can be traced back to my family tree for years to come.

With all the respect that I have for the members of this board, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that I could incorporate with my own thoughts for a name?

Don't think so Mike. I thought I read that Tube and worm are exempt.

Should be...
Gut hooked with a tube and worm , very unlikely me thinks..

Clammer 01-01-2021 07:58 AM

:huh:I don,t think anything is exempt once you put bait on it .just one of the flaws in the law .<.

piemma 01-02-2021 01:54 PM

I am correct Mike, at least as far as the Mass regs are concerned.

This requirement does not apply in the following circumstances: 1) when a recreational angler is fishing aboard a for-hire vessel on a for-hire trip; and 2) when a recreational angler is fishing with natural bait attached to an artificial lure that is trolled, jigged, or casted and retrieved (e.g., ‘tube and worm’).”

wdmso 01-02-2021 03:52 PM

love my circle hooks with eels 99% hook up rate

pogies takes a little more work maybe 75%

rphud 01-03-2021 08:48 AM

might be a little premature, but I am seriously leaning towards quitting my day job. Might have to wait until I finish up some contracts in the first quarter and find that 26 Regulator (already working on the truck to pull it with).

Had a day in early August slow trolling small macs and pogies on 6/0 in line circles. ( hooks in the nose )
My buddy and I got about 30 fish between 15-25 pounds. Even if a fish dropped the Mac it was shortly picked up again. All fish were corner or top lip hooked. No gut jobs. Just let the fish swim off and slowly come tight on the line. Works as advertised.
