MICROSOFT is the worst customer support!
 

Going into day 5 of being locked out of hotmail account. My primary email for twenty years! Because they can't confirm who I am with the answers I provided? Cannot get anyone on a phone? They are the worst!!!!

Customer support for almost everything today su#ks and getting a pleasant English speaking support person on the phone is like winning the lottery. AAA we needed today and that was the exception, but when your looking for road assistance, you would hope that is more immediate.

If you aren't actively spreading conspiracy on public forums you won't get locked down. It is likely something else.

Here is the response I received today:

Microsoft disabled access to the account due to a serious violation of the Microsoft Services Agreement: https://www.microsoft.com/servicesag..._codeOfConduct.
As stated in the Microsoft Services Agreement, you will no longer be able to access any Services that require a Microsoft account.
For any subscriptions associated with the account, Microsoft will immediately cease charging the credit card on file for recurring charges.

Hmmmm. I read the code of conduct and have asked them to show me where and what exactly I did to "violate" it.... What a joke it is that they can get away with this...... Socialism at its best

I am curious which demonstrably false and incendiary information Ross was spreading on the Internet.

I can’t see Ross as an internet rebel Microsoft needs to cancel, I’m betting on someone hacking his account.

Always consider it might not be a big brother conspiracy versus a mistake or technical glitch.

How strong was your password and how often do you change it? That account information will have been harvested many many times over twenty years. My son at 11 had his Comcast account hacked and they made me jump through ridiculous hoops to get it unlocked. I don't think he was putting out right wing propaganda on Minecraft or whatever he played back then.
If you enter your address in this site, it will let you know how many times it has been harvested. Similar algorithm Google uses for its password check.

True. And once you get your account back set up Multi Factor Authentication so you are promoted for an additional token if your account is accessed from another device.

I wanna see how this plays out, my money is on keyword matching based on thread subscription emails generated from the political forum ;)

Sounds like a possible Hacker used your account , seems they are locking you out based on your IP address? Even credit card companies won’t even tell you the addresses of packages purchased fraudulently on your credit card
