I’m glad I live near the coast and got all rain, I wouldn’t be happy if I lived in Lowell, they got the jackpot.

Guppy 02-02-2021 04:41 PM

Had the same here , good sign I hope.... can’t come soon enough.
Barring anymore parts breakdown I’ll up and running! LOL

Spring on Cape Cod rarely arrives before late May.

hq2 02-02-2021 07:40 PM

Yeah, we're in the February doldrums. After nine months of this
(and several more to come) spring can't come soon enough!:banano:

I think you meant always sunny in knob g.... never mind.

Spring will be here.... in April but I expect the February tease followed by the March lion (at least the cold) he have had the last few years

I was going to make a similar comment but decided decorum demanded batter .

Was golfing last year Mid March and looking for the elusive Vermont steelhead.
Steelies were on schedule, golf was early

First year in 5 that we are here for Winter. Pandemic, and Jeanne wouldn't travel South because of it. This really sucks.

I was moving snow most of the day yesterday. Just don't want to do this anymore. I will be in SC next Winter.

15" up here on the hill.

Rappin Mikey 02-03-2021 10:46 AM

It was super warm last winter and the fish arrived only two days before schedule where I fish

Got Stripers 02-03-2021 11:54 AM

Looking forward to golfing tomorrow, been puttying, sanding and painting for two weeks straight, I’m ready for a change of pace tomorrow.

I agree ! the weather may be early or late but the fish go by their biological clock that’s never far off

Actually Wayne, the Bass are phototropic. Their instinct to migrate is triggered by the angle of the Sun. That's why some fish start migrating South in August.

Guppy 02-03-2021 05:27 PM

Tough one to call. Phil saw his shadow, Staten Island Chuck did not I thought New Englanders relied on the blooming of the snowdrop as an indicator of Spring's coming.

How true that is..
Many many times over the years I’ll leave the Q on beautiful April day, sunshine, flowers out, T- shirt weather and head to the elbow to trout fish. It’ll be drizzly, cold, stark, like late February. No sign of spring at all.
All to enjoy that deep bone chill from standing in the 38° water.
Fun

ProfessorM 02-04-2021 12:29 PM

Just in my drive home to Lakeville from Pocasset there is a huge difference.

Chatham has it’s own weather system...

Never ceases to amaze me the temp drop headed East out of the sound and past monomoy ....
