Riding Mower Issues
Husqvarna 48" rider starting it's 4th season. Started right up this spring and has been running fine until today.
Son is mowing along the edge of a downslope that butts into a bed of mulch. Not paying attention he slips into the bed and digs the deck into the mulch getting stuck. I show him how to decouple the transmission and we push it out and into the driveway so it's level. Now it won't start. Hear the click click click click click but it refuses to turn over. Battery reads 11.8v so I would think that's plenty to either start or at least try and turn over. Just to be sure I put a Boost unit on it and after a few tries fires right up. He stops to put the bagger on and same issue, just clicks and then starts with the Boost. Only thing that's changed since the beginning of Spring is getting it stuck. Any ideas on how this could be screwing with the electrical system? |
Starter needs 12v to crank could be weak battery or poor connections clean battery terminals and check connections at starter, starter solenoid and ground to be clean and tight if all good could be either solenoid or starter

I’d say the jolt may have disturbed the wiring in some way. Maybe the battery is not properly grounded. Maybe the battery was damaged. Check all your connections.
