Chubs
Where’d they go?
All my old spots come up empty, finally trapped some , not tons , like back in the day… Thinking the green crab may have something to do with this, those f uc kers….. |
Thought this was going to be a post about chub mackerel as I ran into a couple people tonight who said some hardtails already caught way west.
But I do hope you find the chubs you’re looking for Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Ray /. I found that out years ago .. I get some not many .But around OCT ... you can catch them all day . even with no bait .........I had some that lasted all winter & asian crabs // we used some for huge yellow perch in Feb & a few trout ><>

Yesterday made a few drifts after seabass (which wasn't off the charts either). Probably a doz or more fluke; all shorts, with only a couple at 18", the rest were rats.... :cens: About as bad as I have seen it the last two years for them.... |

I was into them (chub macks) a bunch last summer. They have some crazy feeds.

One fishing bud of mine pretty much exclusively uses 6” chartreuse gulp alive grubs for fluking. Swears by them. A little pricy but they work great
