ok, on many TV stations, and God knows how many blogs,, and even among a few of you here, I was told that Rittenhouse wasn’t legally allowed to be holding that rifle.

It’s all bullsh*t. Wisconsin law explicitly states that he was legally allowed to be in possession of that rifle, at that time, at that age. There was no crime.

No one bothered to read Wisconsin state law before they concluded he broke the law.

The left ( democrats and the media) need to somehow figure out that they are turning big numbers of people off, pushing them to the right.

Also, we found that Rittenhouses father lives in Kinosha. All this talk about how he had no reason to care about was happening there. No one knew that until the last couple of days. because it doesn’t fit The Narrative.

it’s so unbelievably dishonest and misleading.

Every single person in the media who said he committed a crime by possessing that rifle, was lying. Flat out lying. And America knows it. And we know why they did it.

Will any of them apologize for it?

the law says a 17 year old can have that rifle as long as it’s barrel was beyond a minimum length. his was.

no, for the 20th time i think what rittenhouse did was one of the dumber and more reckless things i’ve heard of. but it’s not against the law to be dumb and reckless.

he. didn’t. break. that. law.

i think it was dumb if him to be there with that rifle. dumb. but not illegal.

the way this was spun in the media, is unbelievable. now that the truth is seeing the light of the day, it’s one more thing to hold against the left.

Read the law, that’s not what it says. The judge is trying to get this kid off with nothing. I don’t think he should be in jail for life but he needs to own up to his incredibly reckless behavior.

post the law then spence, or give it a rest. i’m going by the judge. the judge got the prosecutor team to concede that the rifle was long enough such that it was legal. the prosecutor stated that.

we don’t put people in prison for doing things you don’t happen to like, unless he breaks a law. i don’t see a broken law.

the media lies help the right. an acquittal helps the riot. subsequent rioting will help the right.

Trump was right, in the end, about the dodgy dossier; he was right about the duped FBI’s original overreach; and the mass media — Rachel Maddow chief among them — were wrong. And yet the dossier dominated the headlines for three years, and the “corrections” have a fraction of the audience of the errors. Maddow gets promoted. And the man who first published it, Ben Smith, was made the media columnist for the NYT.

Think of the other narratives the MSM pushed in recent years that have collapsed. They viciously defamed the Covington boys. They authoritatively told us that bounties had been placed on US soldiers in Afghanistan by Putin — and Trump’s denials only made them more certain. They told us that the lab-leak theory of Covid was a conspiracy theory with no evidence behind it at all. (The NYT actually had the story of the leak theory, by Donald McNeil, killed it, and then fired McNeil, their best Covid reporter, after some schoolgirls complained he wasn’t woke.) Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

The MSM took the ludicrous story of Jussie Smollett seriously because it fit their nutty “white supremacy” narrative. They told us that a woman was brutally gang-raped at UVA (invented), that the Pulse mass shooting was driven by homophobia (untrue) and that the Atlanta spa shooter was motivated by anti-Asian bias (no known evidence for that at all). For good measure, they followed up with story after story about white supremacists targeting Asian-Americans, in a new wave of “hate,” even as the assaults were disproportionately by African Americans and the mentally ill.

As Greenwald noted, the NYT “published an emotionally gut-wrenching but complete fiction that never had any evidence — that Officer Sicknick’s skull was savagely bashed in with a fire extinguisher by a pro-Trump mob until he died.” The media told us that an alleged transgender exposure in the Wi Spa in Los Angeles was an anti-trans hoax (also untrue). They told us that the emails recovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop were Russian disinformation. They did this just before an election and used that claim to stymie the story on social media. But they were not Russian disinformation. They were a valid if minor news story the media consciously kept from its audience for partisan purposes.

More recently, the MSM were telling us for months that inflation is a phantasm. We were told that the “2021 Inflation Scare is another in a series of false alarms going back several decades.” We were assured that “the numbers at least for now are on the side of those expecting the trend to subside and then stabilize at lower levels.” Any concern was “fearmongering politics.” And now we wake up to the highest inflation in 30 years, counter-balancing wage increases. Still, they tell us, all will be well.

We were told that vaccines would end the Covid pandemic. But they merely altered Covid to a manageable disease that you could still contract while vaccinated. We were told that the migrant surge at the border was just seasonal, and nothing out of the ordinary, even as 1.7 million migrants were illegally trying to get into the country in the last year. We were told that sending migrants back to their home countries was a wicked and unconscionable Trump tactic — even as the Biden administration swiftly copied it with Haitian immigrants — to much success. The cruelty is the point, eh?

We were — and still are! — being told by most of the media that critical race theory isn’t in high schools at all. Meanwhile, a tsunami of evidence is out there showing that it absolutely is — in every subject, and every class, as the central philosophy behind many states’ education policies.

We all get things wrong. What makes this more worrying is simply that all these false narratives just happen to favor the interests of the left and the Democratic party.

The wisdom of what Rittenhouse did could not matter less in court. All that matters is the legality of what he did.

17 year-old boys typically aren’t in possession of a lot of wisdom. They can’t be, because wisdom is a function of experience.

The judge removed the charge possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.

The charge is only a misdemeanor.. this doesn’t change the fact he shot 3 people 1 clearly unarmed who the kid of course claiming he said he was going to kill him , who can’t dispute it he’s dead ..

the other Armed man he shot who only exposed his weapon after The kid had already shot someone 4 times . Is conveniently denied his right to self defense ?

Rittenhouse didn’t point his gun at that guy, until after that guy pointed his gun at rittenhouse. rittenhouse wasn’t threatening that guy when that guy pointed his gun at rittenhouse. video showed this, the guy admitted on the stand that rittenhouse didn’t point his gun at him, until after he pointed his gun at rittenhouse.

it’s a really bad idea to let riots go without putting them down, especially if governors ignore the riots because they don’t want to be seen as hostile to the BLM/Antifa cause. these things happen when violent riots are allowed to continue.

Prosecutor should be brought up on charges and loose his license to practice law !
Judge should have thrown out the whole case when the witness admitted under oath he pointed his gun 1st and the prosecutor tried to get him to change his prior statement.
There will be riots no doubt but there’s not much left to burn during the “peaceful protest”
The only way the jury convicts is if BLM did their job scaring the #^&#^&#^&#^& out of them with their threats to burn their homes and kill their kids !

The judge didn’t find that the possession was legal. The defense found a contradictory statute buried in the books and successfully argued the charge should be dropped. The prosecution should have been prepared to appeal but they were not and the judge made the call literally minutes before closing arguments were set to begin. The law wasn’t clear and that usually favors the defense.

the judge asked if the barrel was above the minimum required to be legal. prosecutor said yes. judge dismissed the count.

the law was clear to those who aren’t hellbent in dissecting the law to find a way to say Rittenhouse broke it.
