I am pretty sure I have not met either of these guys but would hope to if I can see my way back to spending some time on island for a Derby again....

I have a number of the Chappy lures plugs. His darter is excellent.

Great read. Always love to read about lure makers , past and present. It reminds of myself how and why I started lure building. I know myself the greatest satisfaction of building lures is having people send you pictures and messages of their success with your creations.

For years I heard how my needles caught big. I never sold much and always thought it was just me they worked for. I owe Ross a couple but I haven't turned in 6 months. I'll get to it before Fall.

I owe my largest bass to a MV lure company - Spofford Needle.
