silver lining to what inflation is doing to people middle class and below. the average american family is spending an extra $400+ a month thanks to inflation.

we need a lot more electricity, and electric cars need 350 miles of range and the ability to recharge in an hour. THEN they work for almost everyone. Today, they don’t work for many, many people.

The F150 lightning you mentioned, has a range of 120 miles when towing ( a little more of you fork over another $10k for higher range). You don’t think that limits its practicality?

Nobody expects 100% of vehicles to be electric tomorrow, just more than today.

Google is easy

Average daily miles are recharged within 2 hours and even a close-to-empty 100 kWh battery can be charged fully overnight. For the vast majority of homes, charging at those speeds will not require major electrical service upgrades to 400 amps. Tesla drivers don’t need to worry about forgetting to charge. In a pinch, there are Superchargers.
