wdmso let me answer for you…

it’s better than it was in october 1929. therefore democrats are superior.

wdmso 10-11-2022 05:17 AM

Jim maybe you were spoiled with the low interest rates . Our You have never seen a bad economy or lived thru one..

But Iam here to tell you . Don’t be afraid. It will pass . History has shown us that

But of course you only read the headlines

U.S. consumers would be in better shape this time around than the 2008 global financial crisis but the current factors contributing to a recession were still a cause for concern.

But you can’t talk about the economy without talking about stuff in the future – and this is serious stuff," Dimon said, citing inflation, quantitative easing, and Russia’s war with Ukraine.

"These are very, very serious things which I think are likely to push the U.S. and the world

The US and the whole world

Keep thinking democrats caused it and republicans can fix it

That’s not reality

It has nice bar graphs

And doesn’t have Trumps data but it wouldn’t help the bigger picture

That jobs and the GDP are better while D’S are in office not always by a lot . But clearly it’s not what you think

sorry, unemployment was just this low when trump
was in office and it didn’t take 9% inflation to accomplish. And GDP growth isn’t good, when again,it’s all
due to once in 30 year inflation.

nice try. the lips are clear in america’s view of democrat economic policies. The fact that you don’t like the result of those pills doesn’t change them.

40-year inflation is high... then you must also know that corporate profits are at a 50-year high.
Hmmm

sounds like he thinks corporations are causing inflation....I would hope that corporate profits are higher than 50 years ago....inflation rate...not so much

At least the value of the dollar is going down to help balance things out.

Isn't one factor in inflation caused by rising prices?

if the price increases are nothing more than price gouging, yes. if the price increases are a function of wholesale costs going up, then the answer is more complicated. in that case,,the root cause is whatever is causing prices to go up.

Which do you think it is?

a variety of things. covid, the fed, supply chains, fewer workers, retirements, fewer immigrants, companies seeing other companies getting increases so they think they can get them, people buying goods instead of trips/services, etc.

Did someone else just post this question as you didn't throw around insults?

federal spending by both parties contribute at all?

The only reason that the price of gas is up is Putin's invasion--this is literally the definition of windfall profits (though in the case of Big Oil, their long support of Putin has helped make that wind blow)

putin invaded in, what, february of 2022? go see what gas prices had been doing before that pete.

biden didn’t wave his hand and cause gas prices to go up. but they went up under his watch, and it’s absurd to say it’s all putin’s fault. gas prices had been increasing well before russia invaded. Of course some of it is putin’s fault, not all of it. sorry.

Before that Putin’s puppet negotiated a rise in the price of crude with Putin and OPEC.

The Economist

Why Republicans are gaining ground in the midterm polls

"It would take a big polling miss, but it would no longer be a shock if they won the Senate"

it's pretty amusing that the dems are now counting on that hooded nut in PA to keep control of the senate:jester:

Fettarmen taped an interview with NBC that’s airing today, and the NBC reporter said he had a hard time understanding the conversation.

If you can’t understand a casual conversation, do you really belong in the US Senate?

The democrats got lucky with which senate seats are up. there are twice as many republicans up for re election as democrats. It’s a very fortuitous rotation for democrats. Combined with some weak GOP candidates…
