We had -12 at 2:00 AM and -14.7 at 5:00 AM. I have both woodstoves cranked and holding at 70 in the house.

if you boil some water in a pot and bring it outside promptly and toss it into the air, it will instantly turn into snow..
|
73 in the house, last night at midnight -13 this morning when I got up at 9am -4

A nice crisp -14 Celsius here on the frozen tundra. ;)
That's about +7 degrees Fahrenheit. The dog and I had a nice walk earlier. Finns like to say, "there's no bad weather, just bad equipment". :rotf3: |

I hate to think what extra it cost to keep the heat up on our three floors ,,, actually the system couldn’t keep up with at the height of the wind and cold… time to down scale…. House for sale….
NEBE great vid with the snow making …. :claps: |
Lots of people calling for plumbers yesterday....and today.

2 woodstoves going nonstop for 72 hours. I burned 1/3 of a cord of dry Oak but the house was 72 to 75 all day. Also closed the thermal shades in the greenhouse and the bow window in the living room. made a huge difference.
The upside was we burned an average of 4 gallons per day and that's including hot water. 2500 sq. ft. house. |
Looks like we are heading north of 45 today

Felt like spring today...
