RISSA?
Me and a couple others likely there early Friday.
Anybody else have plans? |
Have not been in 10 years. Not going to break my string. Not going.
Personal reasons. |
Guppy and I are planning to attend Fridays opening @1pm even with the bridge traffic
|
Probably not - too many things going on this week

You're East Bay, right? |
I could be talked into going if someone wanted to meet up and purchase my plug building lot in classifieds....
|
Not going
The last two trips to it all I brought home was overpriced jerky and a my pillow. |
Stopped buying and started selling tackle ten years ago, not tempting myself. Will sell even more hopefully at the Tried and True Expo on April 13th, happy it moved back to wareha, last time i had a booth precovid it was in westport.

It seems to have lost its luster.

Haven't been in years. I did that show for over 10 years running. Was once THE show.
|
My son Leo will be working the Penn booth.
I might head down in the afternoon |
That's great, Ron! Good to see the next generation working in the industry and enjoying fishing in general. You and your wife have done a great job, from my seat.
|
I may stop in before the Prov./Uconn game Sat. but I'm not even sure I want to bother. Used to be my favorite show.

Thanks for the kind words. Leo’s well on his way (all 3 kids are actually) Graduated Ma Maritime top of his class. Just turned 26, made 1st marine engineer in record pace on a 1000’ tanker that sails Alaska-California, 90 days on ship 90 days off to run our boat, bought his 1st house on Cape Cod last year. I obviously married up……. Way up 😜 |
Fishing Freak has a booth there

Ron
Glad to hear Leo is doing well Not easy finding a good ship crew these days Most kids goin to MMA never go to sea. Huge shortage of licensed and unlicensed mariners. I’m in my 36th year and tired of missing boating seasons. Hope he’s maxing the 401k. I can tell ya why if I see you guys this summer. Jon Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Hey Jon Ya, Leo is doing outstanding. 26 years old, 1st engineer on a Crowley tanker that sails Alaska-west coast California Bought his 1st house last year on the Cape. Walk to the end of his street to the Canal. Made him a partner in the boat & charter business where he’s taking it to a new level. We are in the middle of a repower with the 33 Flowers with a brand new 530hp diesel Life is good 👍 |
