Sea Hunt Triton 220
I was at the Norwalk Boat Show this weekend, and the Sea Hunt dealer had a new model for 2004 - the Triton 220. It was the exact same design as the 23-footer, just smaller. The hull looked like it would fit my needs nicely. Deep sides and an enclosed transom, to really let you feel like you're "in" the boat. Swim/dive platform in back, which would give me a handy place to put on my dive gear, as well as give the dog an easier place to get in/out of the water. A huge raised casting deck that when cushioned, would give the boss a place to sunbathe when she's out with me.
I priced out a package with all the options I wanted - leaning ppost with rocket launchers, hydraulic steering, bow cushions. With a dual-axle trailer and a carb Johnson 150, the total was only $26,200. I could upgrade the engine to a 200 Ficht, or a Honda (the dealer carries OMC and Honda), and still be in the low $30's. And that was just the first offer, there could be some more wiggle room. That sounds pretty good for what appears to be a mid-tier 22-footer. It ain't a Regulator, but it ain't a Sea Fox either. What do you guys think of Sea Hunt? Jamie |
For the money it seems like a real nice boat, there have been a few posts about how they will fair 5 years down the line as far as fit and finish go. In that price range for a 22' boat I think you would be hard pressed to find something better.....:)

Clamdigger has the 21 footer one and hopefully he will post. Nice ride in rough water, nice to fish from.

Saw them last year at the boston boat show.
I liked it, it seemed good and solid. Might need more power than 150 though. |
I love it ////////////////////////////////////:happy:

Hey Clamdigger -
Which model do you have, the 210 or the 212? Is there anything you would change if you could? |
#210
I changed things before I got it==I order it without some of the stuff I didn,t need ==why pay for irt no seat ,no windshield, bo hand rails then I had it setup the way I wanted it low rail in front, set up of the side for digging, but the best is the custom t=top, its not like anyones elses & it works great if you get a 150 pay more money & get F/I:D :D |
