Dang!
Having some fairly routine testing over the next couple days and the tests is primarily a heart stress test. So I went in this morning for the first imaging and a contrast and they call it the nuke test. They pumped me full of this radioactive material called technisium.
So I get home and I want to see how radioactive I am, and I have a Geiger counter for testing old watches. My Geiger counter is going absolutely insane. I am currently about 7000 times more radioactive than the background radioactivity typical to our area. |
Can you light a fluorescent tube when holding it?
Your typing so I assume the test went ok…. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Have you checked to see if you Glow in the Dark?
hopefully they got the correct one.. Technetium-99m: Has a half-life of 6 hours and not. Technetium-99: with a half-life of 210,000 years.:kewl: |
Reading this I immediately have visions of the Simpsons character, Radioactive Man. Hope all is well, John!

Too bad they didn’t inject you with Information Technisium, then you could get my American Airlines App to install properly on my iPhone.
I’ve got a piece of Trinitite from the first atomic test, supposed to still be radioactive though I don’t have a way to read it. |
We all are enjoying our golden years right? Hope test results are encouraging and not stressful.
|
Hahaha - thanks!
Stress test is tomorrow - today was the baseline. F*ck that was a lot of radiation - down to almost half what I registered when I got home this morning My watches do not get picked up by geiger several feet away. I currently register at 30 feet. Insane. |

Hahaha - yes, former, not latter - I am the counting the half life on my Geiger, not my half life on my calendar. |
Good luck with the test John…
smart move, I had a blockage they fixed two days later… GB |

Day two:
I have been irradiated yet again, I am able to telewarp myself three inches away from where I am right now. Unable to go any further than 3 inches. Kind of a let down SuperPower. |

HolySheeeit that is a lot of radiation, I was reading 800+ Microsieverts thru the belly - yes, I suppose it is safe, but damn! Only half the dose today |
Go find some people you dislike and wrap them in a long hug and tell them you feel like you should be doing that.

When John got home he first measured radiation on his:
a) wrist B) nose C) wee wee Poll will stay open until Monday. |
