I was thinking the same thing, gold accents aside I wouldn’t want to have to pack a bag and get a pillow to move between the sink and fridge. I’d also like the oven on the other side of the range. But I also like smaller kitchens so everything is within arms reach. Install is handsome though.

Not retired...working much shorter hours for same pay and benefits. The year end bonuses get bigger every year and they can't stand the idea of me hanging it up

Are those built by you or your company? They look like nice quality. The company I work for has their own cabinet shop. The quality is exceptional but I dont love the way they do bases.The bases are set on remade toe kicks. Level the toe kicks and set bases on top, as long as everything is level both ways the boxes are perfect. Took some getting used to. Now they are talking about French cleats to hang on as they sit on bases.

Hooked, they are just stock cabinets. Our cabinet supplier offers our customers either Fabuwood or Legacy. Legacy is made in America and slightly better than the imported crap. Nothing close to the quality a shop like yours can produce.
Spence will hopefully chime in....he has a good sense about style and functionality. This one has the same fault......work triangle less than optimal

It’s hard to tell without understanding what’s behind the opening in the middle. Assuming it’s a mud room and access to a garage. At least with the large island you can set up a tent on your way to the oven if a storm rolls in.

That being said, I don’t mind the ovens being far away, those don’t need constant attention, but when I cook I like to be able to clean around the sink and put things in the dishwasher while attending to the stove which is problematic here unless you need the exercise.

The angled corner cabinets are nice. Mine are decent quality solid oak cabinets but have the double hinged doors in the corners which are impossible to keep in alignment.

Cheap appliances and a microwave/vent over the stove is a total show stopper for me. It’s just as hideous as a TV over a fireplace.

Now, if anyone here has a TV over their fireplace please don’t be offended. Rest assured Mother Nature will reprocess your home into the Earth in a hundred years and all your sins will be swept away.

Ive been working outside for a change....they didnt want the regular outside trim guys doing this and two other windows on the front elevation.

Nice detail but I’m sure it costs. The floating panel look under the windows adds a lot of visual interest. How is the foundation going to be finished or will the grade come up?

Its all PVC ... i didnt see the invoices or know how many hours....but yeah...just for curb appeal... looks nice and they thought it was worth it so..:huh:.i enjoyed doing them and was so cold doing it it brought back memories of flipping staging planks with frozen snow on them. Did staging planks get hevier or is it me?

The building lot was quite a bit lower than street level and the entire front yard will be a good sized septic system area for the four and a half baths that will be filled in entirely..... they didnt pay much for the land and the back is walkout with covered decks. it will be good. Pretty big kitchen and cabinets everywhere.

I never thought I’d let PVC anywhere near my house but last summer did my deck, wrap around porch and stairs in all in Azek Vintage Collection with Azek Pinnacle railing on the stairs. Material cost sucked but damn it looks great. Cortex system with plugs are nearly invisible.

All pvc trim and hardiplank siding....zero fingerjointed crap sapwood crooked overpriced canadian lumber that rots.

Another alternative product to canadian lumber. It is clearly superior to their over priced garbage and its made in America. If these were made of wood I would have to order extra to compensate for defects.

Probably made in the USA of Canadian oil. I’m serious.

Customer paid a small fortune for these doors..... good quality lumber is getting harder to come by and longevity and price is an issue... so alternative products will replace this before long. The entire pool shed siding and trim is pvc.....made to last so you wont have to replace later and pay for lumber again.

Has nothing to do with TDS. I’m just pointing out that the US imports billions of $ in Canadian polyethylene every year and it’s quite likely the materials you’re using are made with it. Often it’s cheaper to import and manufacture closer to the customer than use distillates from domestic oil.

I know you pride yourself on excellence, just trying to keep my end up.

Somebody tried being a pretend stairbuilder. Ive been asked to replace entire post and railings. More work to fix than do right the first time.

I work in manufacturing including process and petro chemical industries, I can’t help being knowledgeable. Sounds like you’re using ACRE, rice and PVC product.

You do nice work, I’ve done enough of my own remodeling in my life to recognize it.

Do you have examples of your work...remodeling or professional? I'm sure you are discerning enough to not settle for anything done poorly.

I might have some pics of the bathroom I did at the last house, did all the tile, custom cabinets etc… you’d laugh at my techniques but they looked great. I’ve never done carpentry professionally.

Today I let the pros do the real work for the most part, it’s worth every penny if they are good.
