Social Security
Social Security has never missed a benefit payment since the program first began sending individuals monthly benefits more than eight decades ago.
But the recent actions at the U.S. Social Security Administration by Elon Musk's so-called Department of Government Efficiency are putting monthly benefit checks for more than 72.5 million Americans at risk, former commissioner and former Maryland governor Martin O'Malley told CNBC.com. "Ultimately, you're going to see the system collapse and an interruption of benefits," O'Malley said. "I believe you will see that within the next 30 to 90 days." Ahead of any interruption in benefits, "people should start saving now," O'Malley said. SSA administrative costs are around .5% it varies slightly year to year. 401K range from.5 to 2% Here’s a comment left on SSA website “ Calling the workforce “bloated” in an official publication is demeaning, demoralizing, and unprecedented. Acting Commissioner Lee Dudek should be ashamed. As a retiree with 38 years of service for SSA, I can state that the vast majority of employees are dedicated to the agency’s mission and do their best to serve the public. Recently, I called SSA’s 800 number to inquire about spousal benefits under the new law—only to be told the wait time was 120 minutes. Would that happen in a so-called “bloated” agency? Elon Musk has no understanding of how the federal government operates. His involvement is solely for personal gain through government funding. The actions being taken are not only illegal but are also creating chaos, confusion, and a decline in service to the American people. These disgraceful actions need to stop. The brain drain will have an impact for many years to come. This is just the beginning. Who will want to work for the federal government now, with the constant harassment? But I believe that is the point…gut SSA so that the agency cannot adequately perform its mission, then push again for privatization. I hope the public is paying attention.” |
I hope to god SS does collapse. Even better if its right before the mid terms.

The midterms would help but there’s only one long term solution in my view
1 Term limits congress+ courts 2 Kill citizen united limit political $$$ 3 No insider trading +Emoluments w/teeth 4 Sunset provisions for legislation Strengthens Congress, weakens the Presidency + Parties and makes our system work like the Founders vision There’s a reason Article I is Congress and history tells how the founders were adverse to powerful parties and tyrants. We currently have a Congress that has ceded all their power, a President who’s ignoring both the norms and the law with a tyrant who bought the Presidency and is effectively acting as a king. Massive tax cuts for the 1%, empower a brutal dictator, alienate our allies, put large tariffs on friends and foes alike, fire or force out the key heads of departments the country relies on, ignore the impact on our economy to spread chaos and fear, appoint the most unqualified people to look after our security, our health and all Americans and unless you are totally brainwashed like Marsh appears to be; this is really a troubling time for this country. I’m not a religious person, but if that’s you thing, grab your beads or bible and say a few prays.

The only way people who supported this con man/ fraudster/ grifter can be convinced that it was all a con is if his policies actually effect them. Its called learning by failure. Perhaps the analogy is that if I saw a kid stick a fork in a socket and get shocked once, and I see him about to do it again, perhaps the best thing to do is sit back and watch him get shocked again. Right now the people who voted for this clown have stuck the fork in for the second time and are just feeling the shock… And for the record, what i just said is not directly pointed at you, Paul. I don’t think it would be more effective if Putin and Kim Jong Un had laid out a plan to destroy America, I left Xi out because I think he’s got something to lose with FFOTUS’ policies. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
