Weekend Plans

Full moon, some sun, some clouds. Trying not to work all weekend.

So what's up for the weekend?

Go to Jersey, build a deck. Simple floating deck at ground level so nothing too crazy. Stop and see the granddaughters on the way down. The one year old just took her first steps and will now be giving the three year old (and their parents) "a run for their money" shall we say.

A little golf, a little trout fishing, a little work and go see a little live music

Took the camper to Bellingham. Hanging with my brother in law and my sister in law for the weekend. Pretty mellow weekend, sure feels good to relax.

`Went out to lower bay this am and caught a bunch of short everything. Not a lot of birds or bait. Packing for Maine tomorrow, caddis hatch on the WB :).

My mechanic is here tomorrow morning. 80 preventive maintenance, 20% got a check engine light and we need to figure that out

Bite is brutal right now. Went through >100 short sea bass to get a limit out front. Marked very little bait.

Same report from a friend who said three guys went through 200+ shorts to get even close to a limit. Be out Monday with him and hope we can do better, might take him into a trip close to the vineyard where I used to do well on sea bass.

Waiting for Monday. I honestly hate the weekend crowds on and off land

Solid two man limit in the fog this side of Gay Head. Westport River ramp is usually boaters who know how to back down a trailer, but this morning and again while waiting for my friend to go get the trailer this afternoon, I watched two knuckleheads damn near run their trailers into the floats multiple times.
