Weekend Plans

Work / yard work, prep for a work trip

What's up for the weekend?

Definitely hitting the surf at night, and contemplating if it's worth my time trying to
stay up after into sunrise to hit albies... a real crap shoot, especially with so much to accomplish later in the day

I bought a fryer. If I don't burn the house down, making chicken wings today.

I have 3 cords of wood all cut and split 18". Gonna start putting it in the garage attached to the house, Sunday. No more outside in the rain and snow hauling wood for the wood stove.

I thought you loved the exercise of humping wood to the house, in order to keep you fit? I have about that many cords yet to split, scored a windfall of red oak, four full truck loads, this summer when I happened to stop by a arborist taking down a massive oak five minutes from my house. I wasn't expecting him to say take all you want it will save me from hauling it away. I usually rent a 40 ton splitter with 4-way blade and hydraulic lift for the big boys and then get one of my boys over to help stack it.

House party today with a dozen couples, probably golf tomorrow and then maybe prepare for the tackle switch to freshwater; although if someone tells me Sakonet is still on fire with bones, I might be tempted to run down one last time.

Had daughter and fiancé over for birthday (mine) burgers and review wedding plans now just two weeks away. My suit fit when I pulled it out yesterday and is actually fitting better than it did for her cousin's wedding a year ago. I am still watching my sugar intake for the next two weeks... And since I will be staying in Norwalk, I would like to know who lives in that area so I can get intel on whether albies might be in local area......

I do but I have a LOT going on. Gonna close in the farmer's porch and make it a 3 season room.
