Down here they won't talk to a homeowner at a meeting or in the office....they don't have time for the 40?'s a homeowner ask's...codes have gotten way to complex to take up what little time they do...

Homeowner acting as "contractor"....contractors have to know the codes....building inspector isn't there to play teacher, just to inforce the codes.The days of "sure use this or do this are long gone.
