pretty sure the round head will have more space between the nails on the clip, therefore less nails in each clip, as opposed to the tightly packed clipped heads.

For framing, Hitachi is the best

finish= Senco or Hitachi and they both shoot the same nail. I think if you won't use it all the time, then the Porter cable will do you fine and they might shoot...
