Been looking for the perfect 9 ft. plugging rod. Bought a 9 ft., 15-30 lb test, 2 -5 oz. lures, 0.684 butt, 7.5 tip rated MHX blank from Mudhole. Anyone have any experience with this blank?

Try long brad point bits for thru drilling. And DON'T RUSH.

Thanks for the reply slipknot. I am aware of the dry time issue. That's one of the nice things about Waterlox...you can recoat after a day or two although I usually let them dry a minimum of 3 days...
