The benjamin you are looking at is very good. The f.p.s. is good for a .22 cal . I also like the nitro piston better than a spring. Keep in mind chucks are very tough animals. I've hit more than one...

I have a guide that did not harden. I added a second coating to a guide after notiicing it wasn't fully covered. I only mixed a small batch an must not have either mixed long enough or not equal...

I use benjamin moore penetrating primer. Don't know if you can spray it? it's fairly thick.I brush it on. It's a alkyd base primer wouldn't know what to thin it with.

my sons have thrown them last fall to fresh h2o bass only no salt yet.the beads I call balls[because they are a pain in the]have angled sides for sideways movement.Still R+D ing all the time trying...
