What's next?

They start charging you for talking about the beach, and then for THINKING about the beach.

They must be one of the following:

A) Hard pressed for cash?
B) Hard up for wringing every cent they can out of tourist?
C) Looking to pad someone's coffers for their undeserved pension and retirement?
D) All of the above?

I wonder what they wrould do if people stopped going to the beach, stopped spending their money in their town, and took their business and $$ elsewhere???

Manchester-by the sea doesn't need the money, not in any sense of the word. I think they want to cut down on the crowds because thier is less space due to beach erosion. As far as charging for parking where? Fifty spaces, maybe a few more. That doesn't serve anyone. They never haver any trouble there, so its not how many people actually went to the beach. Its as popular as it is for several reasons. Clean, bathroom facilities, food there and nearby, and city folks can actually feel like they got away from it all, so to speak. I know my family there haad been waiting for a mooring,13 years, old guy kept telling eddy you'll get one. Old guy retires and new guy wasn't corrupt and he found out many peoples boats on the town moorings had no business being there. Friends boats, people who had the moorings didn't even own a boat. Ed gets a mooring almost immediately
