Hubby put one in a quite a few years back and I love it for the most part for cooling the house down (it is geat when temps outside are lower or air isnt moving) but I can attest to the dust and pollen being a pain in the arse
Also dont run it on high during heavy rain. It sucks all the rain right into the window.....
I have learned it is a "time and place" use item. Mine is running now and I am loving it but dont want any part of it during high pollen, dust or humidity type days. Thats when the AC's go on.
