Clams, cut so that the strip has a bit of the stomach still attached are by far the best bait. Squid, also works as does almost anything else. I like to use a three hook rig on dropper loops, with the first hook 6 inches above the sinker and the other two six inches up and six inches up. I use 3/0 or 4/0 circle hooks, they have big mouths and the big hook avoid hooking the cunners and scup.
