Humps down 25-50 feet with some sort of structure, near open clean water.not the spots you would find harbor pollack in, say like very rocky -cragly lobster structure. If you can find a small wreck or rock pile on a sandy bottom its probably got seabass on it. Small 1.5 oz jigs work too. Squid is by far the best, they like b2 squids also.
You won't get a lot of keepers but there's a million of them around. Kids love them.
