Spectacular one specific land spot all season, top 5 in the last 28 years I have been frequenting this area. Usually 5 or 6 days in a row of great fishing around the moons, new and full, since late May and I did not miss a one of them.

This past week has really been my slowest at that area all season, but that was only becasue I did not pick the right spots to be in.
My usually guaranteed great tin boat spring spot was off this year, which was very disappointing but the above commented fishing made up for it. My other main stay summer boat spot was not so good. Got some big fish but very low numbers. That being said that area has started to produce now and should only get better as it historically does thru the month of September but the Albies will be closing in soon so getting out there to chase those large bass will get tough as they seem to coincide with each other but no one says you can't chase the warm southern water Albies in the morning and the cooler water north side bass in the late afternoon, well maybe my boss or my wife may have an opinion on that but it has never stopped me before

. Love the fall. Good luck guys. Lots of fishing ahead but it will be gone before you know it so don't procrastinate. P.
