I think Joe put it very well, things like this are cyclical in nature, the fact that this site has been as popular as it has for as long as it has is pretty amazing and a testament to the fact that there are great core group of guys here.
Still, it's bound to fall out of favor for some people as things change. Ballballer makes a good point as well, not many younger guys on sites like this, maybe they are on facebook or would rather just talk to their buddies and not meet new people, I don't know! I'll tell ya what though they are missing out. As a younger guy myself (not so much anymore, pushing 35), when I started here the guys on this site were just super generous with info and they still are today for newer people.
I know from experience that real brick and mortar clubs don't usually operate like that!
