Fished St Johns all around Caneel bay with a fly rod for a week. Caught barracuda, snappers and fish I did not know. Local showed me some bonefish flats but didn't get to fish them. Also took a half day charter for Mahi Mahi (was March), too rough so we fished in the bay...son caught a 60 lb sailfish, I fought one twice as big for 2 hrs 10 mins and broke off at the boat.(had on 20 lb test as we were going for yellow snapper) Apparently rare to get them in that close. What a blast. Definitely bring a rod!
