Hello fellow fishermen!If you don’t want to be used like some kind of guinea pig in a frivolous fishery experiment being driven by the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary folks, I ask that you take action to protect your fishing grounds and fishing rights. It was obvious, during the SERA overview last Tuesday evening, that even the SBNMS folks don’t want to be held solely accountable for their shameful proposal and who could blame them, they have to live within the community and among the very people whom they are targeting.The Recreational Fishing Alliancewww.joinrfa.org has created a letter on their web site which can be downloaded and printed to help send the message that you oppose the proposed 55 square mile no bottom fishing SERA. Please help distribute this link and email to other fishermen As was suggested by Tom Nies of New England Fishery Management Council, send the letter ten times if you can!! The sooner we take action to try to shut down this appalling proposal, the more likely we are to stop it.
