The interesting part is a common consensus is that "it doesnt get nasty" for the most part here. I think this is because the (sometimes despised) moderaters try to keep the "nasties" and "uglies" at bay while trying to allow for open discussion and allow everyone their opinions. Its not always an easy task and some people are rubbed the wrong way when they get edited. I think by keeping the "family friendly" ideal (with some grey areas from time to time
) this site has manged to keep its members and has not turned into a complete poop show. I know I will likely catch some flack for the mere mention of it but it is some food for thought. I have other forums I visit for my other hobbies and seen the "wild west" where anything goes and the bantering DOES get ugly and often so rediculous it becomes more of a monkey pen than a place to get and share information with like minded people.
