I do a lot of beach chunking with my kids, it's a fun time. my favorite rod for chunking is a fibrestar sb 1269 - I won it here at tctfn. it casts geat for 4-6 oz plus baits. it's got enough backbone for casting but is light enough to enjoy fighting a fish on. my biggest complaint about most bait rods is that most are too stout and unless you hook up a monster it's like fishing with a telephone pole. check out fibrestar if you are looking for a nice chunking rod
