The newer graphite / carbon faster action rods are fine for casting baits, they just require learning how to cast them.
Yes, they are able to tear baits off when cast like one of those soft noodles, in fast and hard and out slow . . . That's the problem most people have with faster "stiffer" rods, they try to cast them the way they do a slow action rod and then declare that they suck or don't feel right, or the funniest, I can outcast that POS with my ____________ . . .
