3 oz. ball jigs pull up a verity of stuff off the bottom of the ditch like chawgies hooked in butt, lobsters, and other jigs. Beside all the crap they catch the occasonal stripebass. When your fishing them right you may only get one cast and be hung up on the bottom. this is called a one way jig. It's a challenge to land a big fish in the ditch, that's why we keep going back.
