When I worked at a dealership all we used for pinstripes was the vinyl tape. Layed it down and then hit it with a clear coat shaker can(thinly coated) Once it was applied and set hand rubbed it with #3 machine glaze to smooth out any bumples in the clear coat. Fast wax over the top all done

If you are doing a double line and wan them to meet at a point cut the clear center with a razor blade then lay the top line into the bottom line. Trim any exposed edges with a razor blade.
