I also use a soft tip rod with backbone and an Abu 6500ci as for a rig 3 foot 60 lb leader with loop at bottom for easy sinker change with different stages of the tide with a high low put the first hook inches above sinker loop and second just high enough not to tangle with the bottom hook.
