Hi Guys!
If it makes a difference, I've been smashing the blues off Halibut Point in Rockport. As soon as I put a Rapala Magnum out and put the boat in gear...BAM!
Most of the fish are over 12#; the vast majority of them are 13-16, and boy is it fun.
Personally, I hate to eat them, but love to catch them. My only problem is that all of my friends are afraid of their teeth.
I end up unhooking every fish.
