It was a cold day, but no wind, so easy to dress for. Everyone was catching perch. And the atmosphere...it was almost like tailgating...dads and kids were throwing a football around, some guys had grills on the banks of the pond, everyone was sharing burgers, dogs, and beer. Everyone was super friendly, and it looked like an absolute blast. I don't know a single person who does it, but I have to believe that's in my near future.
I have seen you mention ice fihsing, do your kids enjoy it?

Go on iceshanty.com. You will find some good people. Also check out the guy on there who does ice charters. Take a charter and see if you like it.
