They didn't want to deal with the gay rights groups and the massive negative PR. Yes to make the leaders of the gay's smile. Not Brilliant? A sackless move! A sackless move in this case to make gay activists smile! He was fired because he offended gay people using his freedom of speech. This crap is out of hand. I wouldn't be surprised if he sues the network and wins for wrongful termination. He could easily do that unless his contract says he can't talk about his religion which I highly doubt it does as that would be against amendment rights.
