That's because the stations are working for ratings, and the station staff are whoring themselves out as "media darlings" to hopefully be the first to break a story, uncover a clue or interview a long-lost relative of the guy who cleaned pools for the uncle of some obscure celebrity.

Then there's the local media....

Some are happy to be the thorn in the politicians side, because there will ALWAYS be a story surrounding our useless politicians.
Others are just hired to be the "piece of fluff" to satisfy those that only care to oogle the "people in the moving picture box".

Me, I'd prefer to have news staff that can deliver the news without "trying" to enhance it with sideline stories, added charts and graphs or those long-lost relatives mentioned earlier.

Maybe if they could just focus on the basic story and info, they's be able to slow down?


Nah, not in this current environment where anything is considered news if it's delivered as "Breaking News" during the soaps!
