I fish the Savage version -Manic Minnow and the SP the way Toby mentioned. Split ring,swivel and cut 3/0. I remove the tail hook , I've found fish hammer these swimmers and more often than not the tail hook got stuck in the gill plate and fish bled out. I may drop a fish here and there without the tail hook on there but that beats the alternative.
