... but add up everything you buy for fishing including rod, reel, line, lures, leader material stuff, waders, boots, cleats, belt, belt gear, surf bag, surf top, hat, light, gloves, gas to get there, maybe a hotel, suv for fishing, rod rack, maybe a bike for fishing and other gear, plus food while fishing ... and that may not be so expensive ... as any fish you catch and bring home may be more per pound on the first trip than $19 per pound ...
.... include a boat and other stuff with that and forget about it ...
... BUT ... the experience of fishing and catching a fish in a beautiful setting on the ocean ... PRICELESS - all that other stuff doesn't matter one bit when you're out there and in the zone.
