Can you blame the older guy for wanting to fish out the boat more often. I'm not that old but my knees cramp up on me more and more then say three years ago,,, woods, water, work is catchin up. I tell the younger surf heads do it hard while you can. One my dreams like many of us is to pull that fish of a life time out of the suds. 4 to 5 nights a week are turning into 2-3. maybe its wiser pickin those special nights .

Fish finder?? who doesn't have one on their boat?? I guess theres no excuses for not boating "large" every other time you head out I mostly use mine for dept and structure and locating bait like pog's and macks. I'm sure the more pricey ones are fish pointers.

I know I would of bought a boat along time ago if I could afford one and had a place to store it ect. and I think alot of surf casters would. I get more satisfaction out of the surf but wouldn't you want to fish the Elizabeths, block or deeper water come summer, not everyone has a summer late night hole.

You wanna be as versital as possible. But if all you do is beach or just boat, troll, chunk,fly...what ever, so what do you care what anyone else thinks. Do what you you love and what relaxes you after a hard days work, we know life can be hecktic some times....TIGHT LINES!!
