Surprise

The surf forecast did not look good for the next few days so I take a trip down to Rhody y'day for first light. I decide I better fish for some bass before hitting up the Albies.

I'm on the beach and after I catch a few 30" bass and 5-10lb blues on top I notice some small baitfish being harassed in the wash. I keep an eye on that for awhile and decide to throw some light stuff in the vicinity. I grab my Albie rod and this is the result. 2nd cast. Where I usually get them has been rocky shore, so it was nice to let them run a bit on an open beach. After being unable to catch them in August I can't get away from these things now!

The surf forecast does not look good: 6-8 foot waves til Sunday due to the hurricane which certainly means dirty water and weeds for a bit after that.
