I guess I might take it a little bit for granted after seeing how many of you were looking forward to seeing them. I am probably <2 miles from the runway, as the crow flies. I could not really give you a "schedule" of when they fly but its often. The only time I really could tell is when they do nighttime training (that will usually be posted in local news ahead of time) but if you are in the area (exit 3, MA pike) and want to be close I suggest going for a bite to eat at
http://www.pappsbarandgrill.com/ . Its really a cool place located at the private airport section. Cool view the smaller private planes and if your lucky you can also have a shot of catching a view of the f15s taking off/landing with your sammich!
Worst case scenario while in the restaurant look out the big windows off to the left and you will likely get to see the F15s there ready and waiting. There is also an observation deck and outdoor dining (in season). I just went there a few weeks ago for the first time and could not believe I had never been before! If you go send me a message and maybe I will meet you for a brew at the bar!
