I found using a fillet knife and cutting straight down the center of the tail on the white side or undersode of the tail is the easiest way to peel the bone out. You'll want to scrape the fatty tissue or any meat left behind from removing the bone. Then wash the tail in a bucket of dawn dishsoap and water,comb the hairs from the center of the tail outward. place on a board and coat the skin with washing soda. put another board over the top with a weight on it so the tail doesn't curl up as it dries.
