All star 1088 is a bit on the heavy side and action too fast for me. Lami is more moderate. Happy in 3/4 oz to just under 3. Plenty of power in rocks but not too heavy for sand. All that said, I fish my 10 ft lamis almost all the time. A benefit of the lami is you can get it wrapped to your liking (rather than someone else's 1088) and get warranty. If I could have 1 rod it would be 1201m, if I could have 2 I'd add 1201L, the thirdly would be 1081m.
