Weekends were spent chasing bass and wondering where the high liners were catching. In the middle of the night we would meet at bars and bowls chasing stripes from Balston,Longnook,Head of the Meadow...a 20 mile stretch of sand filled with characters. Guys like Manzi, Avalon and other entertaining salts. Started friendships with Habs,Tattoo, the Bombas,Hacksaw and Chef from Ptown Inn. Some monumental daytime blitzes where you just couldn't 't believe your eyes. Every year our young family would go down as soon as school got out and camp for a week. Money was short but it was nothing but good times and making memories. Some of the characters are gone but the memories will last forever.
