Wow....if it makes you feel better I just did a rear bearing in my ford exploder and the tabs sheared off the split ring holding the bearing in. I had to use a Dremel and 8 cutting wheels slowly grinding it down enough to press the bearing out. Then I had the cut through the bearing to weaken it before my 20ton press could press it out.
